Wow, between my wife’s cocktail and my bacon thing they were the two worst cocktails we’ve ever had anywhere.and we have had plenty in different parts of the world.Īlexander warmed into a polite and cheerful guy but. I asked for the bacon flavoured cocktail which sounded amazing in the reviews and stuff.
We moved to the bar and watched Alexander make us us a couple of cocktails in his hoodie, then change into his work gear to the right of us afterwards. We sat, alone on a Thursday night, asked for a cocktail list and pondered in the darkness with loud Rap noise in this underground hole. Ok, fair enough, we went for a short walk and returned at 5.10pm, greeted by the one same barman still in his hoodie and clearly not ready for business. Walked in at 4.55pm, dark, cosy, interesting and empty and we were abruptly told they were not open until 5pm. We thought this was cute, fun but totally unnecessary for customers who are on a deadline for dinner or the movies.
We knew the place was tricky to find and sure enough, I walked passed the entrance a couple times before we realised. We checked out the reviews on google and TA and as cocktail lovers we decided to make a visit on the way to dinner reservations. This place was recommended to us by an acclaimed chef.
